Vineyards at the Farm
We love wine and we love visiting vineyards and wineries. We also love creating fabulous wines to share with friends and family. We decided to turn this passion into a reality. In April 2015, we planted vineyards in the beautiful country setting at Pheasant Valley Farms. We have several vineyards throughout the property and we welcome you to explore and enjoy them.
The Grapes
In 2016, we planted several different varietals of French hybrid wine grapes (in addition to the Vignoles that were planted in 2015): Marquette, Traminette, Norton, and Niagara. French hybrids refer to a variety of grapes produced in France that are the result of cross-breeding between two grape varieties: classic European varieties with American varieties. The hybrids produce more fruit than native European grapevines.
